Who can pass through Paddington without remembering its most famous namesake, Paddington Bear? Created over 60 years ago by Michael Bond, this marmalade-loving bear, with his unfortunate penchant for mess and mischief, is now the star of two films and remains as well-loved as ever!
Why not spend a few hours following Paddington’s Pawprint Trail? Developed with the creators of Paddington Bear, Paddington and Co., this delightful series of Paddington-themed family adventures takes you on a journey to discover a number of Paddington themed treasures, including four of the Paddington Bear statues that formed part of the Paddington Trail in 2014. Pick up a Pawprint Trail leaflet from the Paddington Bear shop at Paddington Station, and begin your very own journey of discovery.
From the minute you arrive at the station, with the hustle and bustle of trains and travelers, you experience what it was like for bewildered Paddington arriving here from Darkest Peru. In the station, near platform 1, you can see the Paddington Bear statue by Michael Cornish, take a photo with Paddington on the Paddington Bear Book Bench, and find the plaque marking where he first met the Brown family.
Then, step out of the station and begin your very own adventure! Each of the three Adventures leads you to a different Paddington Bear statue, through picturesque areas of London, with excellent family activities along the way – whether it’s a visit to London Zoo, trying the world’s first water maze in Merchant Square, or jumping aboard Captain Hook’s Pirate Ship at the Diana Princess of Wales Memorial Playground.
Located just outside Paddington Station, the Indigo Paddington Hotel provides the perfect base for your Adventures!
